Plants, like people, are prone to diseases, therefore, they need the regular use of special agents - pesticides. This group of drugs includes insecticides, acaricides, fungicides and herbicides, that is, substances that fight insects, pathogens and weeds. One of the promising methods of plant protection is the use of "Farmayod".

The composition and principle of operation of the tool

It is a concentrated disinfectant that works as a fungicide with bactericidal activity. With its help, most harmful microorganisms are eliminated. This means that "Pharmayod", or "Farmoed", can be widely used for spraying greenhouses, storage facilities, cleaning warehouses and transport, watering the soil and spraying plantings.

The product contains a complex of 10% active iodine and nonionic surfactants. Thanks to this, "Farmayod" is able to fight a large number of pathogens that disrupt the vital functions of plants. These include the main bacteria, viruses and fungi that attack crops.

Release form and purpose of the drug

"Farmayod" is sold in plastic cans of 100 milliliters, cans of 850 milliliters and 5 liters, in glass bottles of 85 milliliters.

The tool is used for the following purposes:

  1. Preventive and therapeutic measures against diseases of vegetables, shrubs, trees, ornamental plants, bulbs and tubers.
  2. Disinfecting soil treatment with the destruction of up to 98 percent of pathogenic microorganisms.
  3. Processing of tools and equipment during the entire growing season and in preparation for winter storage.
  4. Disinfection of greenhouses, greenhouses, warehouses and storage facilities.

The use of "Farmayod" is accompanied by a beneficial side effect of reducing the number of insects, ticks, nematodes, thrips and other pests.

Method of application of "Farmayod"

An aqueous solution of "Farmayoda" for plants is prepared immediately before use, as it cannot be stored for a long time. The dilution standard is about 3-5 grams of concentrate per 10 liters of water. The ready-made solution is applied in different ways:

  1. Spraying with a sprayer - manual or automated. Consumption - 1 liter of working staff per 10 square meters of planting.
  2. Watering the soil at the rate of half a liter per plant (under the root).
  3. Drip irrigation. At the same time, the instruction requires that there are no metal parts in the system that corrode upon contact with iodine and products containing it.

Processing of inventory and premises is carried out with one or two percent solution of "Farmayoda". Equipment and tools are disinfected by wiping with a cloth soaked in a solution of the agent, the floors and tables are washed with a 2% solution, in the greenhouse the walls, ceilings, floors, glass and equipment are sprayed with a preparation of the same concentration. In this case, the room should be tightly closed for 1-2 weeks.

Crops are processed according to the following scheme:

  1. Pumpkin seeds - with the development of 2-4 and 5-7 true leaves, with a 0.03% solution, then as needed.
  2. Solanaceae - treatment with 0.05-1% solution, three times during the growing season.
  3. Trees, shrubs, berries, vineyards - spraying with 0.05-1% solution 3-5 times.
  4. Roses, bulbs and other ornamental plants - treatment with a 0.05% solution of rhizomes and bulbs before planting, watering the soil and spraying on vegetative plantings.

Also, "Pharmayod" for disinfection wipe tools used for pruning and grafting.

Security measures

The 10% mother liquor and 1% working drug "Farmayoda" do not harm the skin if they come into contact with it, but they stain it, like medical iodine. If it gets on the mucous membranes, the substance leads to burns, and if swallowed from 3 grams of active iodine, it causes death of a person.

"Pharmayod" belongs to the 3rd hazard class, requires the following precautions:

  1. Wearing safety glasses, a respirator and rubber gloves.
  2. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  3. If you feel unwell after using "Farmayod" or accidentally swallowing with signs of iodine poisoning, urgent hospitalization is required.

After using "Farmayod" you need to take a shower and change into clean clothes, and dispose of used containers and vessels. Throwing them in the trash is prohibited.

Compatibility with other substances

Iodine is a halogen that aggressively destroys harmful and useful microflora indiscriminately. Therefore, it is often combined with substances such as whey or "Fitoplasmin", and the soil is colonized with beneficial microorganisms after spraying the soil. For these purposes, different versions of "Baikal" are often used.

If you wish to combine "Farmayod" with other insecticides and fungicides, you must take into account that this is impossible with drugs with a pronounced alkaline reaction.

The product is quite compatible with other pesticides.

Storage rules

The main solution of the drug is able to remain active for up to 3 years, subject to the rules of use and storage. In this case, the required amount of the agent for the preparation of the working solution can be repeatedly taken from the base container. However, with air access to the working solution, it can be stored for no more than 24 hours, since the iodine and surfactant complexes rapidly decompose.

Expert opinion

Zarechny Maxim Valerievich

Agronomist with 12 years of experience. Our best summer cottage expert.

If you keep a one-percent solution of "Farmayoda" in a tightly sealed glass container at a temperature not higher than +25 degrees Celsius and in the dark, it can be stored without damage for 12 months.

Unauthorized people, children, pets and farm animals should not have access to the Farmayoda storage area. Containers for the product must be labeled, hermetically sealed, since iodine has the ability to evaporate. Such "Pharmayod" loses its positive qualities and cannot be used as an effective plant protection agent.

Are there any analogues?

You can replace "Farmayod" with drugs of a similar action:

  1. Betadine.
  2. Fitalovin.
  3. Fitosporin M.
  4. Phytoplasmin.

Competent use of the drug "Pharmayod" can have a positive effect on the safety of the crop, its full development and long-term storage.
